Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) for the delivery of Better, Sooner, More Convenient Primary Health Care

Invitations for expression of interest to develop Better, Sooner, More Convenient Primary Care have been released by the Ministry of Health. This can be found at www.moh.govt.nz/primaryhealthcare.

The EoI process creates the opportunity for organisations with significant capacity and capability to make more flexible use of funding, contracting and accountability arrangements to improve outcomes.

CMDHB sees significant opportunities to partner primary health care in developing these expressions of interest. With its combined resources, primary health care and CMDHB will be able to provide a fully integrated service that can improve the health of all its residents.

The following document outlines CMDHB's high level goals and aspirations for any EoI partnering arrangement including what the DHB can bring to the partnership including land for Integrated Family Health Centres, flexible funding arrangements, resources, co-location of CMDHB delivered services, and training/development support: CMDHB EoI Partnering

This is an important discussion document that signals a significant acceleration in our future development of Primary Care and attempts to provide a high level picture of what implementing the Government's policy on primary health and Integrated Family Health Centres would look like in Counties Manukau. It does not contain details of how we will do this as that is what we are seeking to work on with the sector and our own clinicians.
