Ambulatory Care Services
Counties Manukau District Health Board's Surgical Services Division delivers secondary services to the population of the Counties Manukau region - not to mention a range of niche tertiary services for Northland and Auckland Regions (Plastics and Hands), Bone Tumour Surgery for the North Island Region and, more recently, the National Burns Unit.
Ambulatory Care was developed as part of the strategy to provide better scheduled patient episodes in a community setting with the aim of reducing hospital length of stay. Ambulatory Care is responsible for all outpatient and health education appointments.
