Counties Manukau DHB employs 292 Senior Medical Officers and 486 trainees covering most of the specialty areas. We are a teaching hospital affiliated to the University of Auckland and several senior positions in the specialty departments are joint appointments with the University.
The multi cultural community which we serve is mirrored in our workforce as we have attracted high quality doctors from all corners of the world.
We are an innovative organisation and lead the development of clinical IS systems which support our practice. This approach has been of particular value in integrated care but also supports effective practice in the hospital setting.
