| CERVICAL CANCER VACCINE. FREE FROM YOUR DOCTOR, PRACTICE NURSE OR HEALTH CLINIC. From 1 September 2008, young women born in 1990 or 1991 can get a FREE vaccine that will protect against most sorts of cervical cancers.
The countdown is on to the start of the HPV (Human papillomavirus) Immunisation Programme, which aims to prevent HPV infection and reduce the number of women in New Zealand who develop cervical cancer. |
